Every Last Cuckoo

It was an exciting story that keeps you wanting to read more and more A love between a husband and wife.  Sarah wanted to live out the rest of her day in her rural Vermont home in the steadfast company of her husband.

After Charles's death Suddenly, seventy- five-years-old, Sarah was left inconsolably alone. Until a variety of wayward souls seeking her out for some shelter in a big way, The House was empty, Sarah was unruly flocked form a family of some.

As they nurtured and protected each other discovering courage along with the unsuspecting strength.

It's a tender and wise story of what happens when love lasts. As the grief has set in Sarah's mind would linger of her past.  Her devotion to her husband and the years of raising her beautiful children was something special to her.

And her childhood during the Great Depression when her parent opens their home to a relative, neighbors.  Has created a crafty a wise and gratifying novel about women who gracefully accepted a surprisingly new role when she thought it was behind her.

It is an excellent book for a Book Club.  I was so engrossed in the story,  it kept me more and more, to find out if she had put it behind her or not.  As she accepted her new role with grace as she was seeking the lost souls that needed shelter that will fill her home with a lot of love and true happiness.

5 Stars:  I would read it again and share it with others too.
