Tara Road



The author shows emotion in her magical Storytelling, Showing the incredible understanding, of a man's heart. In the tales of two lovely young women. 

One lived in Ireland and the other one resides in America, who deciding to switch their lives In doing so learning so much about each other, and themselves too.

Ria lived on Tara Road in Dublin. With her beautiful Husband with their two amazing children, she believes in a happy marriage leading up to the day when he told his wife he was leaving her for his pregnant girlfriend. 

By the chance of a single cellphone call, when she met Marlyn women from New England.  Struggling with terms of her son's death. Now she is separated from her husband.  the two women switch their homes just for the summer months. 

They learn that each of them has a deep dark secret that can not be revealed.  They were drawn into a lifestyle that was different from their own.  At first, they both resented the news. On how well others were getting along.   Ria seems to be a better hostess. As she entertained the entire neighborhood.

The first irritations, revered and withdrawn as Marilyn was.  As a woman that was guarded against her privacy.  It seemed like Marilyn became friends with Rita's children, also with a restaurateur Ria was missing him.

By the end of the summer, the women meet for the very last time.  Be able to learn so much about each other. They found themselves becoming firmly and good friends. 

It was an moving story, that I have ever read, it was near and dear to my heart,  it has touched my soul, in so many ways.  It was so beautiful and original story that I could relate to.

One of the best book club selection  I highly recommend it.
