Wonder

a young boy that has treacher collins syndrome, that wanted to find exception and fit in.
Jr. Fiction

Wonder:   He was an ordinary boy that has an extraordinary smile on his face. Random House children's book in New York. 316 Pgs.

Auggie Pullman was born with a facial difference that preventing him from going to a mainstream school.   Until now.  He was about to enter 5th grade at the Beecher Prep School.  So if you have ever been the new kid on the block, Then you know hard it going to be to fit in.  Still wondering how hard can it be.

Auggie was an ordinary boy, He had an extraordinary smile on his face. that everyone had fallen in love with.  He had a way to convince his new classmate's that he was like him, despite his appearances?  But they couldn't get past his face.

Before it began with Auggie then it switched to his classmates, to his sister, then to her boyfriend, and others,  with the different perspectives, to the characters, It just came down to one thing. A community that was struggling with empathy, being compassionate, along except for others.

My thoughts:

The author's writing is well-based on Auggie's struggles within the community and finding compassion, along with being excepted by others.  Being excepted as being the new kid on the block as he enters 5th grade at the Prep School that he was going to be attending.

From being to end, As you are reading is an amazing book that keeps your attention and you want to learn more about Auggie's journey to a new school.   As he found the excepted that he was seeking, with his classmates, along with his sister, even his parents also.

Even with his facial differences, he is a loving and caring boy to all, even amazing students in school as well.    He will go far and experiences a lot of new things.  Once you start reading wonder you can put it down.  As a parent myself I can relate to Auggie's journey, and how it is similar to my son, as he enters high school and goes off to college.

On November  17, 2016 wonder was turned into a motion picture.  As I watch the movie I thought everyone needs to find alternative ways on how to react to an individual that has special needs.

I rate it 5 stars It was an enjoyable book, I have ever read,  I would read it again and share it with others also.
